SOS CHILDRENS VILLAGES

In early 2008 we embark on a long journey....

Overlanding Africa in our Landrover Discovery, which will be our home away from home we will cross 22 of this huge continents countries driving through some of the hardest terrain.

It will give us the opportunity to see wildlife at it's wildest, landscape at it's most beautiful and culture on a highly primitive and intriguing level. We will have many life changing experiences, making us more capable people and most importantly, give us a better understanding of the world in which we live and the unfair standard of living which some area’s of the world seem to have to constantly struggle with.

The problems Africa face don’t need explaining to most of us – however they continue in frightening proportions and the children of Africa bare the brunt, becoming orphaned in huge numbers because of the loss of parents due to disease, war and famine.

With this in mind we are working in conjunction with
SOS Children's Villages the worlds largest charity for orphaned children who create villages, provide schooling, medical treatment and, most importantly a ‘parent’ to try to make their upbringing as normal as possible.

Our target is to
raise £100,000 for SOS Children's Villages.

We are also planning fundraising events running up to our departure, which is during World Orphan Week. If you feel you can help us raise funds or have any comments please e-mail us via this site.
